Coke Canada Bottling Bulk Drivers play a crucial role in delivering pre-ordered products to designated accounts. This position involves short-haul driving, primarily within the local area and handling Less Than Truckload (LTL) deliveries. One significant advantage of this role as Driver Merchandiser is that drivers have the opportunity to be home every day after their shift, as there are no night shifts, overnights, or weekend work. Additionally, there is no vehicle maintenance required, as trucks are fueled daily and ready for the drivers in the morning. All units are equipped with power tailgates, and Driver Merchandiser have access to powered pallet movers.
- Work Schedule: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day
- Salary: $32 per hour
Responsibilities
- Driver Merchandiser Deliver pre-ordered products to customers along an assigned route, utilizing a Coke Canada Bottling fleet truck.
- Verify the accuracy and stability of the truck’s load.
- Adhere to all policies related to equipment and safety, as set by Coke Canada Bottling and the stores.
- Maintain professional relationships with co-workers and customers.
- Lift, carry, and position products (weighing up to 50 lbs or 22 kgs) above shoulder height without assistance; most routes require unloading and placement of products within customer locations.
- Merchandise products as needed within customer locations.
- Operate manual and powered equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand-trucks) to move product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance.
- Collect company property.
- Follow all policies regarding backroom, display floor, replenishment, equipment, and safety.
Qualifications for Driver Merchandiser
- Driver Merchandiser should Possess a Commercial License with Air (Class 1 or AZ) with no major violations in the last three (3) years.
- Have one (1) or more years of commercial driving experience.
- Driver Merchandiser should have the Ability to work in various weather, temperature, and road conditions.
- One to three years of general work experience.
- Conduct daily pre/post trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Ability to perform all delivery functions within the first 90 days of employment.
- Prior local delivery experience is preferred.
- Capability to repetitively lift, carry, and position products (up to 50 lbs or 22 kgs) above shoulder height without assistance.
