Responsibilities Tasks as Courier van driver
- Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks for pick-up and delivery of various items and products
- Maintain professionalism in customer service
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Load and unload goods
- Utilize maps and other trip planning aids
- Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of the vehicle
- Maintain a record of items received and delivered
- Hand-deliver messages, parcels, and other items
- Sort packages
- Follow directions and read maps
